    Owning a Volkswagen EV is designed to be simple and predictable. You can charge at home using your electricity provider or access discounted public charging through our partnership with Ampol. Every ID. model comes with an 8- year/160,000km battery warranty and scheduled battery health checks, all part of your service plan. And with our Guaranteed Future Value Program, you’ll lock in a pre-determined minimum value on your vehicle at the end of your loan, where you’ll have the option to trade in, retain or return your vehicle.

  • Q How do I charge my EV?

    Charging your Volkswagen is flexible and stress-free. Plug in at home using a standard outlet or a dedicated wallbox for faster charging, or access thousands of public charging stations across Australia. Every Volkswagen EV comes with the charging cables you need for home and public charging.

  • Q How long does it take to charge the ID. 5?

    Charging times vary based on your charging setup, battery size and current conditions. When the battery gets low, an overnight charge at home with a wallbox is the most convenient option and will give you a full battery for the next day.

  • Q How do the batteries work?

    Volkswagen’s modular battery system is designed for longevity and easy maintenance. The high-voltage battery sits safely under the floor for better handling.
